Keto & Ko: the Italian Way

I’m not a follower of the Keto or Ketogenic diet, but as far as diets go it kind-of makes sense:

The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-proteinlow-carbohydrate mainstream dietary therapy… The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates.

I ordered scarpariello, classic style, and wow it was delicious:

Pasta allo scarpariello is, in fact, one of the most popular and traditional dishes of Neapolitan pasta cuisine. This is a simple tomato based sauce said to have been invented in the kitchens of the Quartieri Spagnoli or Spanish quarter in Naples.

And given that Daniella is from Naples, it was an excellent choice. My wife had the bolognese and surprisingly it didn’t have a tomato base. In Daniella’s part of Italy it is a no-no to use tomato sauce when making bolognese sauce.

I think you will find that Keto & Ko is a “home away from home” kind of restaurant and frankly, those are some of the best ones to find. Enjoy
