First Grape Harvest

We planted grape vines about 7 or 8 months ago, with the goal of creating a shaded yoga / wedding space. I imagine we’re at least 6-9 months from getting enough shade to keep an event from overheating.

In the meantime we are tending to the vines and have been surprised to see so many grapes for our first (partial) harvest:

The grapes are smaller in size than we expected but because they are local to Bali we didn’t quite know what to expect.

Shelly is excited to create fresh juice 🙂

The flavor is yummy, although for Shelly, she preferred to add water and a small amount of sugar. I didn’t mind the slightly sour taste of the pure juice. It was still a sweet success to have our very own grape juice!
