Our helper Mhelty is from Flores. She has been with us for over half a year. When we surprised her with a birthday cake she broke down and cried. She told us no one has ever purchased a birthday cake for her before.
We treat Mhelty like a daughter. She is very kind and loving and always seems to be in a good mood. She love our dog, Twinky too and does her best to keep her fed with food from her own plate.
We also purchased a special rice dish, where the yellow rice is formed into a layered cake-like shape. We invited friends from Shelly and Mhelty’s church group and everyone sang Happy Birthday.
