Compacting soil, a concrete pour, then a layer of wire mesh, and finally more concrete. This defines a basement slab for the ground level. After the structure is complete a final layer creates the finish layer, such as tile or polished concrete.
As soon as the slab layer is in place, scaffolding appears on the scene and the column boxes are constructed in order contain the poured concrete. With formed columns the upper levels can be built.
