Week #41 — A Balinese gate, a koi pond, and landscaping begins

It’s exciting to see work on areas outside of the building footprint. It’s a sign that the end is near when plants arrive and are set in their new home.

This week we started on the Balinese-style gate:

First the basic structure, then the finishing stones and a decorative roof

We also have a small team that specializes in pond decorations, among other things:

First a wire structure, then bricks to fill in the spaces, then finishing plaster
Looks like a real rock, eh?

We are also installing natural stone as a sort-of pavement around the pool. It’s a little bit of the Flintstones meets modern architecture lol.

We will need about 70 of these mega stones

If you want more ideas about landscaping with stones, check out the 23 ideas here.
